Board Appointment

The Board has pleasure in announcing the appointment of Markku Isohanni as a non-executive director of Belvedere Resources Ltd.

Markku Isohanni, MSc 1971, Phil.Lic. in geology 1976, has over 35 years experience in base and precious metals exploration. He has worked for Outokumpu for the last 30 years. He was in charge of Outokumpu’s worldwide exploration for 14 years from 1988 to 2002. Also, he was a director of the Geological Survey of Finland for seven years from 1996 to 2003.

Mr Isohanni has been a director or chairman of Outokumpu’s many in house mining and exploration companies in Finland, Australia, Spain, Canada, Chile, Ireland and Russia. He has been a director of MPI Mines Ltd and Sipa Resources Ltd in Australia and Placer Outokumpu Exploration in UK.

Following Outokumpu’s decision to exit entirely from its core mining businesses three years ago, he has been in charge of mining related activities in Outokumpu’s New Business Ventures screening and identifying potential mining projects for Outokumpu Technolgy. Mr Isohanni has recently retired from Outokumpu.

Mr Isohanni will take up his position on April 15th.
