Belvedere intersects 92 metres averaging 3.2 g/t gold at Kopsa in Finland

Vancouver, British Columbia, May 6th, 2010. Belvedere Resources Ltd. BEL:TSX-V ("Belvedere") is pleased to announce an update on the resource delineation drilling at its 100% owned Kopsa gold project. The Kopsa gold, copper project lies only 15 kilometres from Belvedere's Hitura Nickel mine and mill, and is being evaluated as a satellite mining operation to be processed at the Hitura production centre. The current drilling is focused on, shallow near surface mineralisation in the main zone. Assay results have been received from the first 11 holes drilled on the western strike extents of the main zone.

Highlights of the drilling to date

David Pym (CEO) comments "...BelKopDD 43 is a very important hole as it extends the known near surface high grade gold zone a further 40 metres to the west, and increases our confidence in this high grade core of the main zone. We are very pleased with how the Kopsa resource delineation drilling is progressing. Assayed results are consistent with our geologists visual estimations and we expect continued good results as the drilling progresses ..."

The intersection in BelKopDD 43significantly increases the size of the high grade core to the main zone and compares well with historical results below. This near surface high grade material is likely to significantly upgrade the economics of the project..

Historical and Current Results from the High Grade Core with a 0.9 g/t cut-off grade

BelKopDD 33 and 34 intersected the main zone 200 m west of previous intersections which almost doubles the known strike of the mineralisation. BelKopDD 36to 43 have infilled that zone going eastwards. The main zone mineralisation remains open to the east and west.

BelKopDD 35 is significant in that it is in a completely new area consistent with the new structural interpretation of multiple parallel zones of mineralisation at Kopsa. The hole proves there is excellent exploration potential beyond the main zone mineralisation at Kopsa.

Significant intercepts of the current campaign to date with a 0.5 g/t Au cut off

The drilling was undertaken by Kati Oy of Finland, providing 37.5 mm diameter core. Samples are comprised of

half diamond core. Intersections are estimated to be 85-95% of true width. No top cuts are applied with the highest individual assay being 29.4 g/t gold over 0.73 metres. Core samples are sawn in half on site, prepped and assayed by 30g fire assay with an ICPAES finish at the Internationally accredited laboratories of Labtium Oy in Finland. The quality assurance-quality control (QAQC) program of Belvedere consists of the insertion of certified standards of known gold content every 20 samples, with blanks at the beginning and end of each batch. In addition, Labtium inserts a number of blanks and standards into the analytical process. Standards, blanks and duplicates make up approximately 15% of the samples assayed. The remaining half core is retained on site for verification and reference purposes.
